DAY 01: ARRIVE ZAGREB

Highlight: Zagreb evening city Tour

Welcome to The Croatian capital Zagreb which is young and playful at heart, despite the almost thousand year-old  history of its old town. By day, the city beats to the pulse of its thriving businesses, letting its hair down come sunset.  And despite being a thoroughly modern metropolis, the locals welcome visitors with traditional Croatian hospitality. Come and visit Croatia’s political, commercial and cultural heart! Zagreb’s old town is a true feast for your senses,  where you can sample some of the country’s most renowned restaurants and coffee shops in the midst of classic  façades, lush gardens and striking Neo-Gothic buildings.

Upon arrival at Zagreb airport, you will be transferred to the hotel in a private vehicle.

Zagreb City tour: A walk through Zagreb is an interesting and pleasant journey that encapsulates both history and  modern day life. Iliac, the longest street in Zagreb, divides the city into the old roman-tic Upper Town and the young,  busy and busi-ness ori-en-tated Lower Town. The Upper and Lower Towns are con-nected through the Kamenita vrata  (Stone gate), yet another recognizable Zagreb tourist attraction that is linked to many legends and beliefs, as well as  to faith and peace. For some, the most recognizable place in Zagreb is its neogothic Cathedral situated at Kaptol.  Others tend to remember the always lively central Ban Jela?i? Square or The Mimara Museum. Amongst the city’s many monuments is the oldest Zagreb cemetary called Mirogoj, which was opened in 1876. Thanks to its  monumental neo renaissance arcades, tombs of many famous Croatians from political and cul-tural life lay there.

Zagreb is also the site of many cul-tural and international events. The journey through Zagreb is not fin-ished. You may best learn about it by walking down the city streets and  enjoy-ing a cap-puc-cino in one of its many city cafes or visit the lively market of Dolac.
